Fabrication Estimator
Responsibilities
Summary:
The Fabrication Estimator will prepare cost estimating services for the preparation of bids and projects to support Structural, Piping, ASME Pressure Vessel Fabrication and Assembly. Ensures all costs are properly captured and documented.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work.
- Conducts bid review meeting with the Manager of Estimating, Project Manager, and/or business line management to finalize bid, markup, and strategies.
- Manage bid pricing from subcontractors.
- Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
- Ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Understand all scopes of work and price accordingly.
- Applies basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work.
- Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area.
- Ability to work in teams or as an individual.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Qualifications
- Typically has 2-5 years’ relevant experience.
- Use of Microsoft Excel
- Estimating of Packaged Equipment modules to include but not limited to; Spool Pipe Fabrication, Steel Fabrication, Vessel Fabrication, Blasting and Painting, Hydrotesting.
