Offshore Rigger
Qualifications
Bagwell Energy Services is searching for an ideal candidate for upcoming Shelf and Deepwater projects. Candidate must have, at a minimum (1) year in the Offshore Construction setting as a Rigger. The ideal candidate will be drug free (Must be green in DISA and ISN). The ideal candidate must also be competent to the following:
- Demonstrates the ability to sufficiently explain the purpose as well as conduct an onsite JSEA.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively assist the Crane Operator in conduction a pre-use crane safety inspection in accordance with API RP 2D specifications 29 CFR 1910.180.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively inspect all rigging gear including the knowledge of removal criteria as outlined in API RP 2D specifications OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.180 regulation.
- Demonstrates the knowledge of basic rigging techniques and can effectively communicate hand signals to the Crane Operation and other riggers (i.e., visual, radio, etc.)
- Demonstrates competency towards identifying the load weight and communicate same to Crane Operator in order to determine the appropriate load block needed to safely lift and place the load in a specific location.
- Demonstrates the ability to properly attach rigging gear to loads in preparation for moving.
- Demonstrates the ability to competently and safely control suspended loads by use of tag lines and communication signals to Crane Operator.
- Demonstrates the ability to competently dismantle and properly store rigging gear after use.
Pay is DOE and will be discussed on hire date/after interview if hired.
